A Journalism Course on Human Behavior and Society
The Department's mission is to prepare responsible journalists for society who are well equipped with an understanding about human psychology and a cutting edge research attitude to evaluate society and human behavior. The course tries to evolve them as media professionals where they can create an environment which nurtures new ideas, creativity, research, and develop them in the form of leaders and innovators in their domain. The course is a perfect blend of theory and practical knowledge.
Practical projects along with regular industry connect sessions provide students with an overall knowledge support while carving a niche for themselves in the industry. A candidate must have satisfied eligibility criteria to get the rank. The Institute conducts admission for 10% seats under management quota on the basis of merit of the exam and the rank of the students.
The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication
The Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication is a three-year undergraduate program that teaches students the technical skills and social understanding to write about and convey information to the general public. The course provides a knowledge at both theoretical and practical levels, as the field of journalism is based on truth, autonomy, and transparency. The entrance exam is held over a period of 1 hour and 3 hours.
Students can prepare for any of the exams with some common methods. Those who have graduated from the BA Journalism and Mass Communication program have many options. After graduating, jobs in both private and public sectors can be found, though candidates who have finished higher studies find it harder to get a job.
The annual fest is usually conducted in March. The library has a wide range of books like fiction, science, politics, and so on. The classroom is good but there is no air conditioning or internet in the department.
The cricket stadium is the largest university cricket stadium and is where theBBD always do good in sports. There are many clubs there, like drama club, dance club, debate club, etc. The fee for the course is around 120,000 per semester, the fee for EVNG is 60,000 per semester, and the fee for 3C course is around 2,00,000 per sem.
