The Great Northern Hotel - A convenient hotel for international flights and other tourist attractions
It can be difficult to figure out if you need a visa for a country and then how to apply, how long you can stay without your passport, and other things. The Great Northern Hotel is close to Kings Cross and St Pancras stations. The hotel has had a major upgrade so it feels modern.
The Economy Seats in the British Airways Premium Class
Premium Economy on British Airways website has more legroom and wider seats, but they are not spacious. There is a good recline and a footrest.
Economy: Which class of flight?
If the price is the most important factor when making a decision which class to fly in, you should choose Economy. The entire plane will get to its destination, no matter what class you are in. Premium Economy can mean that you avoid wasting a day of your holiday, which may be worth more than the price difference.
Premium Economy includes an oversized pillow, blanket, small kit, and large pair of headphones. The kit contains a toothbrush, toothpaste, eye mask, socks, earbuds, and a pen. The blanket is soft.
One-way redemptions for World Traveller Plus flights between London and New York
One-way redemptions for World Traveller Plus flights between London and New York can be done with a single trip, but can cost up to $400 in taxes and surcharges.

The World Traveller Plus seat of B777
The carrier launched a new World Traveller Plus seat last year, which is being fitted to selected B777 aircraft, and which features a 50 per cent larger IFE screen, six-way foot and head rest, and a seat back that is 50 per cent more comfortable.
First Class on -10 Variants
The only airline that has first class on its -10 variant is BA. There are eight seats in First, 48 in Club Suite, 35 in World Traveller Plus and 165 in World Traveller.
The IFE System on Longhaul Flights
The entertainment system on longhaul flights starts as soon as the plane reaches cruising altitude. There is a dedicated version of the World News on channel 1 for British Airways, which is 20 minutes long. You can catch a flight before midday to watch the news on the day.
There is a 10 minute trailer on channel 2 that runs through most of the other film offerings. The films start after 20 minutes and then repeat 10 minutes after the longest film, which is in the inflight magazine. You get a one minute delay before the films start.
If you are stuck in Old First, the IFE system has gone through many changes and has now settled on iPad as a short term stop gap. You'll get an iPad loaded with a lot of current films, and a few older ones, plus some TV programmes. The old IFE has a 4 inch screen, but the iPad has a smaller screen.
British Airways has a good selection of movies in flight entertainment, with some of the older films from the past couple of years. It's not bad that it's UK-centered, so you may get to see some British films you've missed. You have to check the design of the remote, and marry it to the type of plane you are on, to get the grid of film listings in the magazine.
The X-ray cabin of the A380 M2 LHC
It is one of the latest aircraft types with carbon-fibre structures which make it lighter and more fuel efficient and allow for a lower cabin pressurisation altitude which help to reduce the effects of jet lag. The best seats in the smaller cabin are in the rows 6 and 7. Row 6 is very good and is further from the galley behind row 7 which is likely to make the room quieter.
You are likely to be the first to get food. Depending on whether you prefer a window or aisle access, the seat you choose is the best one. 6A and 6K have windows, while 6B, 6D, 6F and 6J have aisle access.
The window seats are popular with couples. It makes no sense to sit in the middle block. You might be tempted to pay for a seat reservation in order to get a window pair.
There are no seats in front in row 30 so you should have additional leg room, but be aware that your tray table and inflight entertainment screen are in the armrest. You are likely to get your first choice of food. The seats get worse the further back you go.
The Economy of Long-Haul Airlines
Premium economy is a common feature on long-haul flights. It offers a great upgrade from economy class, as economy seating gets ever smaller and more cramped. The fare price is less eye-watering and makes it a realistic proposition for more fliers.
It is closer to the economy than it is to business, with similar service offerings. It can be very affordable because of its competitive pricing. It is an excellent way to get more comfort on flights.
Premium economy in the US started late. It has expanded rapidly and is now offered by American Airlines, Delta, and United. The seating is the same on all aircraft.
The configuration is either 2 or 2 and a half. Seat pitch is 38 inches and width is either 18 or 19 inches. The extra space on the economy side of the plane is very welcome.
The service is slightly better than the economy. The offering is similar to other airlines. It is arranged in a way that has 38 inches of space and a width of 18 or 19 inches.
Experiments in the Price of a Flight
Sometimes, at the more extreme levels of pricing, you can find that fares in a higher travel class are cheaper than in a lower travel class. The business class is cheaper than the premium economy.
