What Is Entertainment Art?
Finding the Deepest Part of You
The act of finding the deeper part of you that never fades is the most important task in your life. It is the best place to start.
Entertainment
Entertainment is a form of activity that engages the audience and gives them pleasure. It can be an idea or a task, but it is more likely to be an event that has been developed over thousands of years to keep an audience's attention. Most forms of entertainment are familiar and recognisable because people have different preferences.
In all cultures, different kinds of performance exist, and they were supported in royal courts, developed into sophisticated forms and made available to all citizens. The entertainment industry has accelerated the process in the modern era. Entertainment can be adapted to suit any size party, from a small one to a large one, with appropriate music and dance, and performances intended for thousands.
Most countries have made it illegal to perform public executions. Fencing or archery used to be used in hunting or war. In the same way, cooking has developed into performances among professionals, staged as global competitions and then broadcast for entertainment.
It is considered work or an act of cruelty if entertainment is provided for one group or individual. Children's needs and interests can be tailored to most forms of entertainment. The work of G. Stanley Hall, who was often criticized but still important, was the first to link the study of development and the "new" laboratory psychology.
The stories and activities in books, film, and video games were developed for child audiences. The rise of digital entertainment and the special needs of children have led to the development of television content rating systems to guide the public and entertainment industry. Video games are played using a controller.
The Art of Relaxation
The encounter between artist and audience in the art world is more ambiguous and problematic than in the entertainment industry, despite the fact that there have been many attempts to diminish or eradicate that distinction. Drawing on popular culture or mass production for creative source material is not the same as participating in it. The audience for television and movies is different from the audience for art exhibitions and the expansion of the art market.
The distinction between entertainment and art has not ceased to have meaning despite the occasional success of Dennis Hopper and Julian Schnabel. The membrane has always been very porous. I have said in casual conversations that entertainment is for the people who need to lie down and relax after work.
Art is for people who want to get their eyes and mind stimulated and engaged. The reverse is a defining distinction. You can't beat a good action movie for a quick rush of energy.
Good art requires you to be patient. Artists have been fond of calling on their viewers to help finish their work since the time of Duchamp. The purer the aesthetic experience for both the artist and viewer is achieved by the degree of genuine investment.
The Musicals of the 1960'S
The Unsinkable Molly Brown, Bye Birdie, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, and A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum were some of the musicals that came to Broadway in the 1960s. Hair, a new kind of musical, was the stage event that defined the last part of the decade. The 1969 Broadway musical Hair celebrated the era's youth culture by depicting out-of-the-mainstream characters as sexually liberated, drug-using hippie and anti-Vietnam war protesters.
Street Art
Street art is a very modern example of art in action. The reactions to the mural in the city were very different because of the differences between East and West Berlin. Art can encompass a wide range of forms, from film, music, theatre, and pop culture, all of which aim to entertain and make people happy.
When a film is made for a specific audience or purpose, the art starts to change. Films can be used to spread awareness. Songs can be composed in a way that brings out certain emotions, gives inspiration, or increases the spirits of people.
What is art?
When a painting is not as similar to something Gainsborough or Jackson Pollock would have seen, people are wary of where the artist is. There is no single definition of art that is universally accepted. The ancient Egyptians were great artists because of the cultures without a word for art.
Western societies have felt their social values in constant change since the Industrial Revolution. You can't say something is art. That's all over.
It used to be possible to pick out something perceptually, like tulips or giraffes. Art can look like anything, so you can't tell by looking. The critic's good eye no longer applies.
Concept Art: The Heart of Animation
Concept art is very different from production art. A production artist creates elements that are put into motion. Concept art is a sketch.
A concept artist is supposed to quickly draw up a variety of rough design ideas and then set a final style reference for the project to follow later on. The production artist is supposed to provide a high-quality representation of the ideas expressed in concept art. Concept art is the heart of your animation.
