What is the difference between Facebook and lite? It's a stripped-down version of the standard Facebook app for both phones. It's still a great alternative to the full-sized Facebook app.
You can save more data by scrolling down to the Media and Contacts setting, which is located on the left side of your Facebook lite settings. You can choose the photo quality that Facebook will display. Reducing data usage can be achieved by opting for low-resolution photos.
The standard Facebook app has a data saving feature, but it doesn't save as much as Facebook lite. The menu and search bar are on top of the screen, while the standard Facebook app places the menu bar at the bottom. The Facebook lite is for low-resolution screens and has smaller text and buttons.
It has a similar look to the regular Facebook app with white cards over a gray background. The lite version has small, low-resolution profile photos to indicate whether someone liked or commented on something. The original Facebook app has a larger text.
The messaging system in the app was built into Facebook lite. It now requires you to download a separate messaging app, just like the standard Facebook app. Messenger lite is used on the phones instead of the regular Messenger.
Facebook lite app for low-memory phones
The Facebook lite app was limited to a few countries such as Bangladesh, India, Sri Lankand others. The Facebook lite app is available in many developed countries. The lite apps are not available on the iPad.
The size of the two Facebook apps is different. The lite version of the Facebook app weighs less than the full version. Just 2MB!
