FedEx Corp. Donations to Candidates and Committees

FedEx Corp has donated over $29.8 million to federal candidates and committees since 1989 and has given over half of it to Democrats and Republicans. The rules of the business of the United States Postal Service are subject to change, but can be accessed through strong ties to the White House and members of Congress. FedEx sealed a $9 billion deal with the USPS to transport all of the post office's overnight and express deliveries.

The Structure of Accounts Required for the BARS Code

You can format the spreadsheet provided by the excel option. The PDF has different categories of account codes. The account codes should be excluded from your annual report for display purposes.

The above and prescribed option includes accounts which are not valid for reporting and are not valid for the BARS account codes. Thescribed option only lists valid account codes. The chart of accounts varies in the number of digits required for account codes.

The expenditure or expense accounts are presented without codes. The BARS Manual has object codes. The reporting at the subobject level is not required.

A governmental accounting system should be funded. A fund is a fiscal and accounting entity with a self-balancing set of accounts recording cash and other financial resources, together with all related liabilities and residual equity or balances, and changes therein, which are separated for the purpose of carrying on specific activities or attaining certain objectives. The system to classify funds and assign code numbers to identify them is presented below.

The first digit of the code identifies the fund type and the next two digits are assigned to the governmental unit to identify the specific fund. The proceeds of specific revenue sources are used to establish a foundation for a special revenue fund. They should be expected to make up a large portion of the fund's reported inflows.

The FedEx Cup Bonus Fund

The first part of the season is when the players earn points for each event they play. The number of points for winning a tournament varies from 250 to 600 depending on the quality of the field. The final position of the players in the tournament is what determines the number of points awarded.

The player with the most points after the Tour Championship wins the FedEx Cup and gets a bonus fund of over $60 million. The runner-up gets $5 million, 3rd place $4 million, 4th place $3 million, 5th place $2.5 million, and so on down to $70,000 for 126th through 150th place. The non-exempt players who finish 126th-150th in the FedEx Cup will be given a chance to improve their priority rankings through the Tour Finals.

The Work Choices Challenge

All "prohibited content" is void in a NAPSA if it relates to the employment relationship. Bargaining fees, union training, union picnic days and the like are all prohibited by the regulations. The NAPSA can only be enforced in federal courts after the reform date.

State industrial commissions are not allowed to enforce or vary the award if it applies to a corporate employer. The state commission has no authority to enforce or vary the agreement of the PSCA or PSIA, as with the NAPSAs. A PSCA can only be changed to remove discrimination or prohibited content.

Until terminated or another workplace agreement is made, any existing federal certified agreement will continue to operate as a pre-reform certified agreement. It is against the law to force a person to agree to end a PRCA. Work Choices requires a change in mindset, as well as negotiated agreements.

Fixed amount awards: a discussion

Fixed amount awards were not mentioned in your discussion of grant types. FA awards are used in cases where funding opportunities are limited and do not fit the usual definition of a discretionary award. In the case of volunteer programs, funds are awarded for performance-based activities rather than tied to incurred costs, as is the case with participant support costs.
