There are cases with oil as low as 10 mole% and condensates as high as 15 mole%. If the pressure remains above the dew point, the material balance equations can be used for a gas condensate reservoir. The method should be used below the point.

Natural Gas Liquids

Natural gas liquids are a mixture of liquids that are present in the raw natural gas produced from many natural gas fields. Condensate in a Refinery

The high light ends content of Condensate makes it difficult to process in high volumes in a refinery, which makes it less valued than crude oil. Some condensates contain up to 40% of jet fuel and diesel and are priced higher than crude oil because they contain very little residual material.

The prices of condensate depend on where it is produced, gravity, and market demand. A barrel of East Texas Condensate cost over $65 in June of 2021. Natural gas liquids are odorless and colorless.

Care must be taken to avoid breathing in toxic gases near storage tanks and vents. Natural gas liquids and crude oil have different densities and grades. NGLs are thought of as light oil.

It is more dangerous to handle and transport than crude because it is very volatile. Natural gas liquids are lighter in composition than crude oil. They can be dissolved in crude oil or in the oil reservoirs.

Natural gas liquids are condenses out of the gas stream into a liquid that can be stored at room temperature when the vapor pressure is lowered. Natural gas liquids are suspended in gas. The gas stream is evaporated through heat and pressure after NGL is produced at the wellhead.

Natural gas liquids can be used in a wide range of applications, including in the production of gasoline and the creation of plastic. Blending heavier Canadian crudes with Condensates is a preferred method of improving the flow of the line. Some NGLs remain suspended in liquids while most associated gas is separated.

Hydrocarbons in a Gravity Liquid

A low-density, high-API gravity liquid hydrocarbon phase is associated with natural gas. The presence of a liquid phase depends on the temperature and pressure in the reservoir. The pressure sensitivity of some condensates can make it difficult to produce them, as the risk of the condensate changing from gas to liquid is higher if the pressure drops below the dew point.

If gas production is better than liquid production, the pressure can be maintained by fluid injection. The gas is called wet gas. A natural gas liquid has a low pressure.

What is a Condensate?

The difference is often seen in the eye of the beholder, and there is no single definition of what distinguishes a condensate from ordinary crude oil. There is no agreed way to tell if it is liquid or crude. Most state regulators don't measure it, they only measure gas-related condensate from the oil wells.

Nitrogen oxides are produced by the burning of fossil fuels. Natural gas is added to it's smell with sulfur compounds. A pH of 4 can damage drainage pipes, sewage tanks, treatment plants and other materials handling waste water.

The scale is not linear. The next higher number is 10 times more acidic than the next lower number. 5 is the minimum for neutral as the treated condensate should be as close as possible.

Most national and state codes prohibit anyone from allowing acidic liquid into a drainage system without treating it to raise its pH. The media converts the acid into water, carbon dioxide and mineral salts. The carbon dioxide will usually pass out of the neutralizer when it stays in the water.

Condensate Recovery in a Small Space

A good condensate recovery system can pay for itself in a short period of time. The amount of energy in a kilogram of steam and condensate is compared in Figure 14. The percentage of energy in steam can vary from 18% to 30%, and the liquid condensate is worth the money.
