Central Heating Systems
A central heating system can warm a building and also heat domestic hot water from one main source of heat, unlike heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems which can cool and warm interior spaces. The energy source chosen for a central heating system is different in each region. The primary energy source is chosen based on a number of factors.

Heating Water Instantaneously
The air that is warmed by the radiator naturally rises and cool air falls relative to it, as a result the room is warmed and the space is empty. In most cases, heating water instantly is more energy- efficient than a hot water system. The bath will take longer to run if the hot water is coming from a cylinder.
Some boilers can also heat water in a cylinder. Ground source heat pumps work by making the earth outside a home colder by running a refrigerant fluid through pipes that are buried in a trench or a borehole, while delivering warmth at the heat exchanger indoors. The heat is transferred to the water in the pipes inside the house to warm the radiators and provide hot water.
Warm air systems were installed in the UK in the sixties and seventies, but are still popular in North America. Air is fed via ducts to rooms around the home and is usually fueled with natural gas. The warm air enters the room through a vent.
Electric central heating is available to homes that are not on the gas grid. Electric night storage heaters are easier to install than gas central heating apparatus because they require less parts. Gas central heating is cheaper than electricity.

Modern Warm Air Heating System
Warm air systems were popular in the 60s and 70s. Warm air heating systems are often overlooked, but new developments and innovations mean they are worth considering as they could save you money on your heating bills. Modern warm air heating system is a good alternative if you like the idea of warm air heating but don't like the dust and temperature issues.
Modern warm air heaters are an excellent replacement for older ones and are a great option for those considering new heating systems. The modern warm air heating system costs 18 percent less to run than other heating systems, even with the integrated hot water option. A modern heater is an excellent and affordable way to warm up your home and provide you with cleaner and healthier air to breathe.
Warm air heating, or warm air central heating, is the process of turning cool air into warm air by passing it to a heat exchanger via fan and then blowing it into rooms through vents in the floor, walls or ceiling. Houses with very small heat load are usually the only ones that can benefit from heated ventilation. The heat source can be a boiler, an air-to-air heat pump, or an electric-resistance heater.
The running costs of air heating can be up to 18% lower than other heating systems, yet warm air systems still include the option of heating hot water, which is a benefit. Heat only boilers

The water gets heated up before it arrives at the fire. The main difference between a system boiler and a heat only boiler is that the hot water tank is fed by the mains water, not the cold water. They use less space, but have the same drawbacks as heat only systems.
Electricity as a Fuel Source for Heating and Air Conditioning
Electricity can be used as a fuel source for heating and air conditioning. The heat pumps run on electricity and provide both heating and cooling in the same piece of equipment. All air conditioners run on electricity, so no other fuel source can provide this.

Water Heating Boiler
