The time evolution of the LHSV feed
The only way to vary LHSV is by changing the feed flow rate. The space velocity and reactor inlet temperature must be changed to maintain the same severity. The times are not exactly the same.
The time needed to process a reactor volume of feed at the reactor inlet condition is called space-time, while the residence time is the average time spent by a reactant particle until it exits from the reactor. Any pipe that is used to transport water is a water pipe. The applications of piping systems are vast from the power industry to the process industry, utility services, and so on.

Faulty Ventilation Conditions in Industrial Environments
There are a number of faulty ventilation conditions listed in Table III:3-1. How many air exchanges are needed per hour to circulate in a controlled environment?
How might a confined space be provided with air quality? Natural air movement is not enough to remove the air from inside and to exchange it for fresh air outside. The lack of air exchange occurs in confined spaces that have few openings for access and because of the configuration of the confined space itself.
OSHA does not specify how many air exchanges must be circulating per hour. Minimum air exchange amounts are not universal, but some state laws require 6 times per hour. The rule of thumb has always been 5 complete air exchanges.
The equation of continuity for incompressible liquids
The equation of continuity is valid for all liquids since they are incompressible. If gases are subjected to compression or expansion, the equation must be applied with caution.
