The End of the Story List
The user will be greyed out at the end of the story list when you stop a story. You can still see their story. New posts from the user will not appear on your timeline, and you will have to visit their profile to view the latest posts.
While mute is a cool feature, it is not the same as the other feature on the app. If you like a particular profile, you want to be notified when a story or post is put up. You can turn on notifications for the profile.
Hidden Stories
The posts will be visible to you when you visit their profile. They can also message and interact with you. The best part?
They will never know that you have suppressed them. A method to block other's posts is called muting. What if you want to hide your posts from others?
You can't hide your posts from everyone. You can archive your posts, but that will make them invisible to everyone. You can make stories private and hide them from as many people as you want.
If you hide your story from them, they will never know, unless they check your account. It is an advanced form of mute where the other person can easily detect if you have followed them. They can still message and comment on your posts after you've stopped following them.
You can remove a follower manually. If you have switched to a private profile, you want a few followers. You can easily remove people from their followers using a method that is familiar to you.
Keeping the other person from seeing your posts
If you want to keep the other person from seeing your posts, you can easily do that. You can keep your feed fresh and free from distraction.
How Many Follow Me?
Having a good number of followers on social media can be important for businesses, so if you follow more people, they will follow you back, which will affect the number of followers.
Posts on "The Power of Nature"
Sometimes it can be as simple as getting too many posts from them. They can make it hard for you to see other things in your timeline, so muting them can be a good way to clear them out.
The Mute button for Facebook
If you weren't aware, the new feature of the Mute button allows users to turn off posts, stories, or both from their profile. It is unlimited once you have someone quiet. They stay muted until you unmute them.
It is very similar to Facebook's Unfollow feature. Facebook snoozes for 30 days. Unfollow lets you stay friends, but not see the users content.
What do you read about a band?

The stories from that profile will not be shown in your feed. The only way to watch them is to go to that particular profile and watch stories from there.
Blocking IG
The block option the photo sharing site would best used when someone is harassing you, sending you unwanted messages, or bombarding you with direct messages that you don't want to receive. If you block someone, they may notice. It's a good idea to keep their content out of your feed, but if you mess with them on IG, they'll be more likely to leave you room to follow them.
Even if the account has tagged you in a post, you will still receive a notification. If you change the way you view stories on the platform, they will no longer be on top of your feed. You can still view their stories by going to their profile and tapping on theiravatar.
When you block someone on social media, they won't be able to find your posts or stories. There is no way to get your likes and comments back. They will not know you have blocked them.
