A penalty under Section 234C for non-payment of advance tax installments
The income tax department expects the taxpayer to pay all the tax installments. Every quarter of the financial year, the scheduled four installments are held. The income tax department can impose interest on the amount of the penalty if the taxpayer delays the payment of tax.
