A map is a depiction of the globe. A map is a compressed copy of the real world, meaning that a big area of land is duplicated on a smaller piece of paper or digital file as a representation of the world. Scales use a graphic format to display their scale.

Mapping and landmark features

Important information about landmark features is provided by mapping. Maps show changes to a structure. If there are changes in land features, a map needs to be updated regularly.
