Comparison of Bing and Google Maps

The quality of their results is one of the things that shows many similarities between the two. Some searches might appear better on Bing than on the other side. Both Bing and Google are good at simple jobs.

Using the Field Vendor for Geo-coding

The values in the Vendor column are sent to Bing when the field Vendor is used for geo-coding. The Size and Color saturation buckets are not sent to Bing. There are a few things you can do to increase the likelihood of correct geographic information being found in the map visualization.

Make sure the field has a single location category. The location field for your city should be New York, notSouthampton. The address location should be 1 Microsoft Way and not Redmond,WA.

If the dataset you are using has fields for latitude and longitude, use them! The map data can be made unambiguous by using special buckets. You can drag the field that contains your latitude data into the visualization.
