The NBA's HORSE Game

Many of the millions of people stuck at home in a smilng have been forced to revisit their pasts. There is something comforting about a mental return to a better time when you have so much time inside. HORSE is a favorite among amateur basketball players.

Competitors attempt shots from anywhere on the court, often with tricks mixed in, with the goal being to force an opponent into an effort they can't convert. Everyone else must do the same thing if someone makes a shot. Someone is eliminated from the competition if they get all five letters of "HORSE".

Hit long-range bombs or get crazy with between-the-legs and behind-the-back attempts are the main strategies to the game. The versatile shooter is often at an advantage. Trae Young and Chris Paul are the favorites Sunday.

The NBA's version of HORSE will be made up of a series of one-on-one games rather than the entire field being placed in a single game. Players are required to give a description of each shot so they can't say they meant to bank it in or have it hit the rim three times. Dunking is not allowed.

The HORSE Competition

The eight participants for the HORSE competition are listed below. Chris Paul, Trae Young, Mike Conley Jr., Paul Pierce, Chauncey Billiups, and new Hall of Fame member, Tamika Catchings, are just some of the athletes who have been elected. The more senior player calls heads or tails at the start of the game, which determines who shoots first.

The type of score the players want to make before taking a shot is what they must describe. Dunking is not allowed. The first player to accumulate the letters "H-O-R-S-E" after failing to match five shots is eliminated.

The NBA has continued to try to bring entertainment to the people during a difficult time. Everyone would rather be watching real games, but that's not possible. The next best thing is to put together an athletic competition between players, which will serve as a distraction for the millions of people who have to stay indoors in order to stop the spread of the virus.

Horses in the backyard

Every basketball player or kid with a backyard hoop can enjoy playing horse. The game of horse is a basketball game where players shoot at a hoop from different locations. If someone makes a shot but everyone else misses, they get a letter that says "HORSE".

Final of the NBA Basketball Classic at HORSE

Six current and former NBA players and two WNBA stars are competing in a televised HORSE tournament from their own backyards, trying to claim a title in front of a national audience. The final was held at 7 p.m. Chauncey Billups won his first round match.

Young falls apart after starting out up three and Billups eliminates him with a banked 3. Young didn't attempt a long-range shot. That should be considered a disappointment.

The X-ray Dark Matter Reaction

All eight entrants have a chance. The current NBA players would usually have a bigger advantage, but with training interrupted, the field is leveled. The competition will be held with each player shooting from a different location.
