The Helge-Egon Anomaly
The first season of the show begins in the year of 2019, but later grows to include 1986 and 1953 when members of the show's central families become aware of a wormhole in the cave system beneath the nuclear power plant. The lives of the families are in danger as their ties are exposed during the first season. The history of the town and the missing children are involved in the conspiracy.
The second season continues the families' attempts to find their missing loved ones, several months after the first season finale in 2020, 1987 and 1954. There are additional story-lines set in 2053 and 1921. The second season introduces Sic Mundus Creatus Est, a major group in the ongoing battle for the ultimate fate of the people of Winden.
The season is about to end. Helge was questioned by Egon about his location the night Mads disappeared. The Stranger told Jonas that if he goes back to his home in the year 2019, he will never have a child.
Egon was told that Ulrich never raped her, Helge and Noah were going to move the dead body of Yasin from the cabin, and Katharina tried to convince him that she was not raped. Helge was killed in 1986 when he tried to stop his younger self from driving into him. Noah and Helge kidnapped Mikkel in 1986 and then brought him back in 2019.
The adult Jonas wakes up in the same place as the Stranger. The brass machine that Tannhaus has completed from the broken version brought by the adult Jonas and the young Ulrich was used to destroy the wormhole. Charlotte discovered a photo of Ulrich in a 1953 article about Helge's kidnapping.
