What Is Outlook Navigation Pane?

The navigation pane is on the left side of the Outlook window and shows how you can switch between Outlook's different areas. The navigation pane displays the folders within the view when you're working within it. When you select a folder in the navigation pane, it becomes the active folder and you can work with the items within it. To see new email messages, you can select the Inbox folder.

Users can save time by using a well-organized navigation pane. You can navigate to the folder you are interested in using the navigation in Microsoft Outlook. The navigation pane is located in the ribbon of microsoft outlook
The drop-down menu can be found on the Menus tab. The types and options of the navigation pane can be found from the sub-menu. The navigation pane options window appears when you click.
You can either select the items to display on the navigation pane or click on the Move Up and Move Down button to change the order of those items. The navigation pane is at the top of the layout group when you open Microsoft Outlook 2010 or 2013. You can choose the type of navigation pane you want to use, from the pull-down menu, or you can make a setting from the options.

You can also drag and drop the folders. The Favorites feature shows only the ones you already have in your mailbox, not new ones. There is a little quirk that you should be aware of.

You can change the size of the container by placing your mouse on the blue border. Click and drag the container up or down when your mouse pointer changes. When you change the size, you change which sections are visible as horizontal buttons and which are only visible as icons.
You can display all the buttons with their names and icons on a high screen resolution. The last part of the navigation pane is the Shortcuts area. The button the bottom of the navigation pane allows you to view the Shortcuts program.
You can drag a folder to other groups once it's been added to a group. To remove a shortcut, right-click the one you want to remove. Outlook will ask you if you really want to remove the shortcut.

Navigation Pane in Word 2010
The places bar has been replaced by the navigation pane. It is on the left side of the File Explorer window. The navigation pane shows the drives, history, desktop, and downloads that used to be on the places bar.

The Folders Pane of Windows
The folder tree in the folders pane is the same style as the one in Windows Explorer. You can display the contents of one or more folders in the File List pane by selecting one or more from the Folders pane. You can access the device by clicking on it in the folder.
Over time, the Windows folder will grow as updates and programs are installed onto the system. To get the Windows folder back to a smaller size, you have to wipe the system and clean it up. You can keep your files separate with folders.
If you had no files on your computer, all of them would be in the same place. You can have more than one file with the same name. You can have a file called a resume.
