The Trump Mediand Technology Group said the social network will begin a limited trial in November and will be available to the public in the first quarter of 2022. Digital World Acquisition Group is a blank check company, according to a May filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
SPACs are shell corporations with no commercial operations listed on a public stock exchange with the purpose of acquiring or merging with a private company, thus making it public as well. The effort to build a social network by Trump is facing some challenges. The Washington Post reported that an image of a pig defecating to a Donald Trump account has been removed from the site.

The site aims to fight "cancel culture, promote common sense, defend free speech, challenge social media monopolies, and create a true marketplace of ideas" according to the mission statement. The main lesson from the statement is that the marketplace of ideas is the slogan plastered all over the branding of GETTR. The platform's mission statement is already in the App Store, but it is called a "non-bias social network for people all over the world".
The app is meant for mature audiences, and has a rating of M or 17+ depending on your current situation. The new social media platform has a website and a mobile app. The app'sUI is very similar to that of the micro-blogging service.

The nature of Truth Social was immediately apparent. The site was flooded with hoaxes and stories after it was discovered that a test version of the site was already available to invited guests.
The merger of TMTG and DWC
The former President announced on Thursday that a new company, TMTG, would be merging with Digital World Acquisition Corporation. Digital World was formed in September and had a stock price that was around $10 before the announcement. On Thursday the stock rose to $52 before closing at $45.50 and on Friday it hit a high of $175 and closed at $94.20.
