A new feature card will appear at the top of the chat when a Hype Train is triggered. The Hype Train is supposed to be a special event in the chat and therefore should be more difficult to represent. It comes with a period of between 1 and 8 hours, which can be set by the streamer.
There is always controversy around who is doing what and how things should be run. The rise of Casino streams is the latest event to enter the crosshair. There are many things you need to do as a streamer.
The hype train
A hype train starts when multiple subscribers or bits are donated and has different levels. The Hype Train is higher if subs and donations are more. The goal is to complete the train a certain time frame.
The Hype Train: A New Feature for H2O
The platform added a feature called Hype Train early 2020. The Hype train will start working when several viewers donate to a streamer who has it activated in a short amount of time. Any viewer who donates bits or subs until the Hype train ends will be eligible to receive a special emote depending on their level.
Once the Hype Train is started, viewers will donate bits or sub to your channel to try to fill as many levels as they can. The Hype Train will give a special emote to viewers based on the level the train reached. When participating in the Hype Train, viewers can receive several Hype Emotes.
How Hard is a Hype Train?
A Hype Train is when a spike in Bits or Subscription activity is seen by different viewers within a specific time frame. Everyone in chat can help fill the Hype-o-Meter by using subs, gifts, or Bits. There is a period of time before another Hype Train can start.
The length of any period is established by the channel settings. You can find a menu in the level goals section that allows you to choose the difficulty of your goal. There are five difficulty levels.
You can choose the amount of time that should pass before another Hype Train begins in the Cooldown Period section. It can be set in hour-by-hour. You can choose among your existing subscription, Bits tier, and global emotes in the customization section.
The default Pogchamp emote will be replaced by the new one you choose. You can see the preview section the right to see how the experience will look to your viewers. If you feel the Hype Train is disrupting the flow on your channel or reducing the excitement associated with such events, consider increasing the cooldown period to create longer breaks between Hype Trains, increasing the kickoff Threshold to make it more difficult to start a Hype Train, or both.
