The Newport Transporter Bridge is one of only six working bridges in the world. You can either sail under it on a gondola or walk across the gangway. The engine room and visitor centre are popular with transport enthusiasts.

The Geraint Thomas National velodrome is a popular place for cyclists. Roman remains are on display in Caerleon, while the Newport Museum and Art Gallery has displays on Chartists. The underground arts scene has pop-up shows and theatre productions.
