Unless you request it with ancillary service endorsement, USPS Marketing Mail, USPS Marketing Mail parcels, and USPS Parcel Select parcels are not forwarded or returned. Preparation of Marketing Particles for Low-Density Ordering
Marketing parcels that are mailed at Product Sample prices are allowed to be bundled. The quantities of parcels in the bundle must be equal, with quantities of other parcels indicated on the bundle facing slip. The bundles of parcels must be either banded or shrinkwrapped.
See 203.4.0 for other standards. A mailer may prepare a bundle with less than 10 pieces and a less-than-full carrier route tray if they claim the saturation price for the contents and the applicable density standard is met. Mailpieces for which a walk-sequence discount is claimed must be organized in the delivery sequence determined by the USPS and prepared as a carrier route mailing under 6.1 through 6.7 and the standards below.
Pieces with a simplified address must meet the standards. All pieces in a mailing must be sorted together to the best extent possible, and must meet the standards in the standard for the price claimed. The definitions of a mailing and combinations are in 1.0.
Grouping, bundling, and labeling are not required or permitted, except in the case of pieces in overflow and less-than-full trays, and in the case of pieces in card-size pieces. Before being sacked, bundling is required. When the minimum bundle size is required, the quantity of addressed pieces must be prepared.
Smaller volumes are not allowed under 203.4.0. The non-automatic 5-digit bundles prepared under 5.2 through 8.8 are cosacked with carrier route bundles prepared under 9.0 and with automation 5-digit bundles prepared under 10.0. The non-automation 5-digit bundles are copalletized with carrier route bundles prepared under 9.0 and with automation 5-digit bundles prepared under 10.0 on merged 5-digit scheme pallets.
USPS Pricing Mail Is Not Sealed
USPS Marketing Mail is not sealed. The mailing of articles at USPS Marketing Mail prices is consent by the mailer to postal inspection of the contents. If the Enhanced Carrier Route price mailing and the Presorted price mailing are part of the same mailing job, then pieces in the Enhanced Carrier Route price mailing that have separately met the minimum quantity requirement can be counted.
If the automation price mailing and the Presorted mailing are part of the same mailing job, then pieces in the automation price mailing that have separately met the minimum quantity requirement can be counted. The minimum volume requirements for an Enhanced Carrier Route price or an automation price mailing are not counted towards the Presorted USPS Marketing Mail prices. The mixed NDC price applies to parcels that are not eligible for a 5-digit price.
Place parcels in mixed NDC prices in origin NDC sacks or on origin NDC pallet See 245.11.3 and 705.8.10 It is optional to prepare to qualify for an Enhanced Carrier Route price, but it is necessary for all carrier routes in a 5-digit area.
Enhanced Carrier Route mailing may include pieces at basic, high density, high density plus, and saturation Enhanced Carrier Route prices. Addresses must be sufficiently complete to enable matching to the current USPS ZIP+4 Product when used with current CASS-certified address matching software to qualify for automation prices. Standardized address elements are not required.
