Step 4. Pick a combination of digits that are easy to remember and then change your meeting ID. The first digit should not be zero. Click the button to apply and then save the room.
The Meeting Number
The meeting number is the meeting ID. The meeting ID can be a number. The number is used for meetings.
Changing the Personal Meeting ID
Each meeting has a unique 9-, 10-, or 11-digit number assigned to it. If people know the meeting ID, they can join the meeting. If you have a paid plan, you can modify the Personal Meeting ID. You can't change the Personal Meeting ID that you're assigned with the free plan.
A Permanent Meeting ID
Since your personal meeting ID is permanent, you should only use it for meetings with people you meet frequently. If you lock your meeting or use the Waiting Room feature, someone will be able to join an ongoing meeting even if you don't want it.
Meeting Links
Prospective participants can be directed to the meeting by meeting links. They are a single click to the meeting. Users can simply click on the link to reach the meeting instead of opening the app, joining the meeting, and typing in an ID and password.
The Group Management Page
Personal meeting ID and personal link are two ways to access your meeting room. Your personal meeting room is always available and is unique to you. You can start it at any time.
You can schedule a meeting with your PMI. If account owners and admins want to require users to always generate a unique meeting ID, they can also disabling the PMI. Users will need to change previously scheduled meetings if they disabled and locked the personal meeting ID setting.
They will need to send the invitation again after updating the meeting ID. You are assigned a permanent personal meeting room when you have your PMI. You can start it at any time or schedule it for later.
If you don't use your personal meeting room's ID at least once every year, a new one will be created and you will have to visit your Profile page to change it. Users will need to change any previously scheduled meetings with the PMI to update the meeting ID once Personal Meeting ID is disabled. They will need to send the invitation back after they have edited the meeting ID.
The password feature in the Num Lock app
The password feature has been activated by default for all meetings in order to resolve the bombing. Any new meeting that you create will have a password. Only the people with the password are allowed to join the meeting.
The password is attached to the invitation URL in an escort form. The link has the word 'pwd' in it. The password is written in a letter after the equal sign.
The receiver needs to click on the link. The password box will not show up as the link has the password. If you are creating a new meeting, you can click on the New Meeting icon in the app to start the meeting.
The meeting password is below the meeting ID. The password is shared with the participants as a host. If an updated invitation link is shared, the password is attached to the link, so no need to share it separately.
Let me be clear. The host can't change the passwords. The option is locked by the admin of the zoom.
